You Can Apply for Organic Agriculture
On Friday, February 25, 2022, the applications for participation in Organic Agriculture of the Rural Development Program begin and will last until March 31, 2022.
The public expenditure of the bidding amounts to 490 million euros and is about the support:
-Eligible arable crops, EUR 116 million.
-Eligible permanent crops, horticultural, aromatic and medicinal plants, 210 million euros.
-Eligible cattle and sheep farms, EUR 130 million.
Eligible occupied hives and offshoots, € 34 million.
The aid is granted annually, per hectare of agricultural land or per number of occupied hives / offshoots, in the case of bee colonies, to compensate beneficiaries for lost income and additional costs as a result of the commitments made.
Βeneficiaries
- All interested individuals or legal persons or groups of individuals or legal persons, who are active farmers, in accordance with article 3 of No. 104/7056 / 21-1-2015 (Government Gazette 147 / B ‘/ 22-1- 2015) decision
- Eligible for sub-measure 11.1 Farmers who undertake to include in the system of organic farming, parcels and / or pastures and / or animal farms that are not included in an active contract with the Control and Certification Organization (OE & P) until the date of issuance of this Invitation
- Eligible for inclusion in sub-measure 11.2 Candidates with agricultural plots and / or pastures and / or animal farms, which are included in the system of organic agriculture, through a contract with the O&P
Any candidate may apply for support for as many Action 11 measures as he or she wishes.
